Luna's Take

If you're international or on a budget: Fly into LAX. Yeah, the traffic sucks, but you'll save $100-300 on your flight. The extra hour in the car is worth it.

If you're domestic and value your time: Pay the premium for SNA. It's a breeze to get in and out, and you'll be at Disneyland or the beach in 20 minutes.

My move: I always check both airports before booking. Sometimes LAX is only $50 more expensive, and in that case, I go with SNA for the convenience. But if LAX is significantly cheaper? I'll deal with the drive.
